About The Nursery

Linden Lea is a privately owned Day Nursery School and is situated in a large attractive property in Grove Green offering quality childcare for children aged 1-5 years old.We offer a safe homely environment with extensive facilities for 25 children and are open 51 weeks in the year, excluding Bank holidays. Linden Lea is fundamentally a place to enjoy learning and is run by an excellent enthusiastc and caring team of staff, including a qualfied Primary School teacher. We offer a wide range of stimulating activities including French lessons, gardening, art and craft, construction and cooking as well as having a dance tutor and lessons provided by a Music teacher for a small additional cost.

Outside there is a large secluded landscaped back garden with life-like animals as well as our resident Guinea Pig and Rabbits for the children to enjoy. We have a large patio area with play houses and outside equipment to enhance your child's imaginative play, with a seperate covered all-weather sensory outdoor area nearby.Another area of the garden has a log cabin, climbing structure, slide and swings. The babies also have their own special swing.

Ages 2-5

Linden Lea Nursery School is situated in the lounge of Downswood Community Centre and caters for twenty six children from two and a half to five years old.It is fundamentally a learning establishment, with excellent facilities for the development of basic pre-school reading, writing and number skills and concepts.Children also enjoy discovering the world of computers.Enhancing the curriculum are our regular visits from a dance tutor and the Kent School of Music, for which there are small fees, and French lessons.Outside play is catered for in the secure play area to the rear of the building, with numerous outdoor toys. The children also enjoy the small garden area where they can plant seeds and watch them grow.To help each child reach their full potential,we consider it important the children work in small groups with their keyworker in seperate learning areas. This enables them to receive maximum individual attention both educationally and socially.
